What do you do with an original Nintendo Gameboy with a smashed LCD screen?
Replacement LCD's for the later colour Gameboy's (like the GBA) are easy to find, but those old olive greyscale models are very hard to find. I could either wait to see if I came accross a faulty Gameboy with a good LCD (unlikely) or turn my damaged classic handheld into a fantastic multi-platform retro console using a modern LCD and the new Raspberry Pi Zero. As I am an impatient penguin, I chose the latter!
So with a Raspberry Pi Zero, my knackered old Gameboy and software from the Retropie project I set to work building my "PiBoy" handheld console.
